It's been a while!

     It's been a while! I know, I know, you missed me. You need some Heraclitus back in your life. OK, maybe it's just me, but I am back and plan to update this blog weekly. Someone hold me accountable, lol.

     It's a whole new year so 2012, we are here! Who knows whats to come, but so far I've been off to a great start. This year (for me) has been the best year so far, ever. Just before the New Year, I started a brand new job. The company is called Vector Marketing.
    
     Some of you might recognize the name or have even worked for them, probably while you were in college. It's been 10 years since I graduated High School so that didn't apply in my situation, lol. Before I got accepted, I was unemployed for 8 months, and those were some hard times. Then, out of nowhere I received a random telephone call, from a woman asking if I was interested in a job. I was puzzled at first, thinking "Is this a joke or prank?" But the woman on the reassured me and told me that this was indeed, a valid opportunity so I said Yes! The next week, I went into the interview feeling rusty and unsure, but at the end I was told, "You've got the job, Hercules" I was informed about the position and told I would be a Sales Representative, selling kitchen cutlery. I was a little nervous at first, I've never really had much sale experience. But after 3 days of training, I felt sure I make at least a few small sales.

     Since then, (just to keep a long story short) I've earned 3 promotions, attended 2 invitational only Professional Development Leadership Conferences, also diversified my Resume, and earned recognition on numerous company weekly news letters. I've also been promoted to a Field Manager position, where I get the chance to help teach, coach, and learn how to eventually be my own office or district manager. And that was just in the month of January!

     It's so exciting to see how much I've grown in just one month. I went from being a shy, laid-back individual, forced to step out of that comfort zone and now I'm fully confident to face every person or challenge that is thrown my way. What I've learned here, with this wonderfully challenging and rewarding career, I will take with me for the rest of my life. And I can't wait to see what's next!

"Land of the Free"

Are we Americans truely living in the "Land of the Free"?

If your reading this, no doubt you've seen the news broadcast about, Troy Anthony Davis. Troy Davis is scheduled to receive the Death Penalty by lethal injection today. Troy is accused of killing a Georgia police officer and has been on Death Row for the last 19 years. He was convicted even though there was no physical evidence against him like, fingerprints and DNA. He was solely convicted on witness testimony, of which 7 of the 9 witnesses have recanted their testimony. The witnesses who recanted stated they did not actually see Davis commit the crime or that they were made to lie by police in Georgia, under oath. Now after numerous attempts to appeal this Death Penalty, the Courts are saying Mr. Davis did not prove his innocence. smh!

I thought it was "Innocent until proven Guilty" here in the U.S.A.? This is a total reversal of that ideal. I can't believe they didn't give him a new trial based on the new evidence. This is absolutely mad and is proof of an unjust judicial system.

ROBOTS IN DISGUISE

What does it mean to be a "ROBOT IN DISGUISE"? This is a concept that was created with my very good friend and fellow SWEAT SHOP ENT artist Larry Murphey -L Bean. The whole idea of being a (R.I.D) "ROBOT IN DISGUISE", was formed after watching and observing the way the music industry has been literally fabricating and duplicating artist. How artist were seeming to follow trends instead of creating their own, being FOLLOWERS instead of being ORIGINAL. So basically, a Robot is like a sheep who follows blindly after the "herd" and who never ask questions about where they are heading or whats happening? Instead of thinking....... ROBOTS BLINDLY FOLLOW!

(Not to mention, how many of the big artists in their videos are literally dressed up as robots.. Look at Beyonce, most the her latest videos she wearing robotic outfits..)

A short while after thinking and coming up with a few ideas, it quickly became apparent that this ROBOT idea was much greater and encompassed not only music artists but much of society today. The truth is, most people don't care about whats really going on in the world, and those same people are content with following their "normal lives" no matter how ROBOTIC they've become. Instead of focusing they're energy on things which could help and shape "Humanity" they're too busy watching "Real World" on MTV... Which is ironic because these people don't have the vaguest idea what the REAL world is like.

 So this is the movement. Either your a HUMAN "thinking" BEING or your a "non thinking, following implanted ideas" ROBOT!
